It should have been titled "UNBELIEVABLE" instead!!!
Because I can't believe how twisted this book is! I thought "Seducing in the Dark" and "Thoughtless" were daring. I just finished "Reaper's Property", too. Nothing comes EVEN CLOSE to this! The amount of angst and drama... I just can't describe it!
There were a lot of great reviews written already, I'll just say this... You know, most of us love badass heroes, all alpha males, possessive, dominating, neanderthal even. But we all secretly crave them being badasses only to a certain degree or till a moment they fall in love. And then we are used to be told how they change their ways, become all perfect "forever" material almost without any faults to uphold their badass reputation. But this book was REAL from start to finish. It takes us out of our comfortable zone and keeps us there on the edge! It doesn't sugarcoat or leaves unsaid anything about true Badboy's nature. There is a lot of cheating, violence and vulgarity in this book. My jaw kept dropping and my eyes kept popping out, I kept re-reading some sentences because I couldn't believe what I read! It's shocking really... I might even start looking over my shoulder, getting paranoid about my husband cheating, too. It's just that disturbing! But even so, I absolutely LOVED THIS BOOK! It became a winner of my favorite dark romances! It might be wrong, I might be twisted for liking it, but I don't care! I'm just glad I got my HEA! As to the rest,
“Mark Twain said, “The two most important days in your life is the day you were born and the day you find out why”
I don't remember the day I was born but I remember the day I found out why.
His name was Deuce.
He was my “why”.
And this is our story.
It is not a pretty one.
Some parts of it are downright ugly.
But it’s ours.
And because I believe everything happens for a reason, I wouldn’t change a thing”
