I liked it. It was a nice read. But I wasn't as overwhelmed by it as by the first installment of Promises where the bond between Deacon and Crick has had many facets. They were more than just lovers. They were also friends and "family" and the story line is deeper in the first book. Therefore it was much more emotional and heartbreaking. Whereas "Making Promises" is just a romantic story, quite predictable and not as sad. It's much lighter read, though.
All in all, I enjoyed it. But I would love to have more books like "Keeping Promise Rock".
